Playlist: Afterlife

So, for some reason I told zinnia_zeroth that I was going to start posting playlists. And we were going to do theme-offs, or play Animals, or something?

Anyways, one thing I do is make playlists for LARPs and such. We just ran Afterlife, the game Katie, Samuel, Jason, and I did for X Camp a few years ago, for possibly the last time, so in its honor I present:
  1. "The Hardest Thing to Prove" by We're About Nine. This one I actually used for my Afterlife zsigs. We're About Nine is pretty great for thematic existential songs.
  2. "Broken White Line" by Kris Delmhorst. "You are still a cliff…"
  3. "Reva Thereafter" by Girlyman. <3
  4. "Adagio of Life and Death" by Joe Hisaishi (from Princess Mononoke)
  5. "The Undertaker" by Jennah Bell. Jennah Bell is one of the great artists I found when I noticed that most of the artists I listen to are white and decided to fix that a little.
  6. "Creeping Death" by Apocalyptica
  7. "The Unquiet Grave" by Kate Rusby
  8. "If It's True" by Anais Mitchell (from Hadestown). Hadestown had a lot of contenders, but this fit the best.
  9. "Ghost" by the Indigo Girls. I actually wanted to include the a cappella version by Resonance from their CD Left on Red, but I've lost it unless it's on Ocarina, and it seems to be un-buyable.
  10. "You Will Ride With Me Tonight" by Dar Williams. Because everyone needs a badass biker psychopomp.
  11. "Two Coffins" by Against Me!
  12. "Reqqu Goes To Hell" by Ari Pulkkinen. This is in the category of "soundtracks from games I haven't played", but it came up and seemed fitting.
  13. "The Fellowship of Hell" by They Might Be Giants. The obligatory song-I-don't-really-like, but it fit well and it's not that bad.
  14. "Sympathy For The Devil" by Low Strung
  15. "Prince of Darkness" by the Indigo Girls. They and Kris both resisted my efforts to cut them down to one song. ^_^
  16. "Anybody's Heaven" by Kris Delmhorst. Quite representative of the sorts of things that happened in game.
  17. "Stairway to Heaven" by Led Zeppelin. Of course.
  18. "Heaven Dog" by Coyote Grace
  19. "Pyramid" by Jason Webley. His Margaret project was pretty appropriate, overall, but this was hard to beat.
Also, P.S., that icon is super-old now. Like, whoa.
